"Our ambition is for a world-class workforce; one that fosters economic growth and sustainable communities across the UK. This will be reached through progressive high impact social work, social care and services for children"

Annual Report Infographic 2014

Our research has demonstrated that individuals who are qualified provide a better quality of care than those who are not. The case for a highly skilled workforce able to protect vulnerable people and maintain public confidence, as well as creating savings in public spending has been well made. Without these workers, millions of people in the UK would need to leave the job market to care for their loved ones. We must continue to invest in world class care and children's services.

Our strategy is to empower employers to develop a workforce that is innovative, skilled and sustainable;
Innovative - we want to ensure workers are flexible and equipped to drive employer investment in service innovation towards integrated, community solutions
Skilled - we want to ensure workers have the skills, knowledge and values to deliver safe, high quality and professional services that promote public trust and confidence
Sustainable - we want to ensure there are enough workers with the right skills in the right places, able to meet the increasing demand for care and support.
